The GDC Mobile Advisory Board is made up of seasoned professionals in the mobile entertainment industry who volunteer their time to develop the sessions offered to the mobile attendees. They ensure that the quality of the content is inimitable, high-level, relevant, and timely; a critical component to the success of the conference.
Robert Tercek
President, PeopleJam
Founding Chairman, GDC Mobile
Robert is the founding chairman of the GDC Mobile. He has been an executive in the
game industry since 1993, and has served as an advisor to the GDC
since 1998. Tercek played an instrumental role in the worldwide
growth of two pioneering mobile companies, PacketVideo Corporation
and Mforma Group, before co-founding PeopleJam in 2006.
Earlier in
his career, Robert was a senior executive at MTV: Music Television
and at Sony Pictures Entertainment. He has supervised the creation
of content services on several innovative platforms, including the first satellite TV service in Asia, the first interactive TV services in the US, the first Java-based multiplayer games on the Web, and the
world's first wireless video deployments. His credits include online
and interactive TV versions of the most popular game shows in the
world, including Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune and the Dating Game, as
well as the Monty Python game series for PC. He supervised the
creative content and marketing of dozens of best-selling mobile game
titles, including CALL OF DUTY, TRUE CRIME, THE WORLD POKER TOUR, MARVEL'S X-MEN, CONNECT FOUR, MONOPOLY TYCOON, TOP GUN and many
more. Robert has been a featured speaker at many industry events
including CES, CTIA, 3GSM, NATPE, E3, MILIA, MIPTV. He is on the
faculty of the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-
Television.

Matthew Bellows

Floodgate Entertainment
Matthew is responsible for the operations, sales and marketing of Floodgate Entertainment, a top mobile games developer based in Boston, Massachusetts. Before joining Floodgate, Matthew led Gamespot.com's mobile entertainment initiatives. He arrived at Gamespot (a division of CNET Networks) through that company's acquisition of Wireless Gaming Review. Matthew was the co-founder, editor and publisher of WGR (WGamer.com), the leading publication for mobile entertainment consumers. While leading WGR, he grew revenues to $1.5 million, distributed content through Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and Ziff-Davis. Matthew received his MBA with high honors from the Olin School at Babson College.

David "DC" Collier
President
Pikkle KK
David "DC" Collier runs Pikkle, a mobile content provider based in Tokyo. Previously DC was the Business Creator for Namco's International Mobile Games Division in Tokyo. While at Namco, DC oversaw expansion into new markets such as China, developing initial strategy and negotiating and managing the partnerships. DC also negotiated to bring US games into Japan.
Previously DC lead business strategy for PacketVideo Corporation working with carrier customers worldwide including DoCoMo and T-Mobile. In 1996 DC founded Gamelet in
San Francisco, one of the first producers of internet based games. Gamelet was acquired by PacketVideo Corporation prior to their closing a $100M funding round. In the early '90s, DC founded Game Developer TripMedia in London
, designing BURN:CYCLE and VIRTUAL NIGHTCLUB CD ROM games. He wrote Colliers Rules a required text at many design colleges, and also runs JGram, a community site for students of Japanese.

Guido Henkel

Guido is a 20-year veteran of the game industry and the acclaimed producer of many award-winning computer game classics, including the REALMS OF ARKANIA series, ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, PLANESCAPE: TORMENT. Starting in the computer games industry in 1985, Guido has been the co-CEO of German developer and publisher Attic Entertainment Software where he oversaw development, marketing, sales, distribution, licensing, and public relations, while making the company one of Germany’s leading computer game enterprises that found world-wide recognition. He has been working on a vast number of titles in both the traditional computer game industry, and mobile industry, and has covered all aspects of the development, publishing and distribution of games.

Scott M. Jensen

Scott is the president and CEO of Vindigo (formerly known as Zingy), the leading mobile publisher of infotainment applications and games in North America. In his role as president, Scott oversees the sales and business development teams responsible for partnerships with media companies, game publishers and Vindigo's extensive network of carriers. Vindigo offers top-selling products like MapQuest Mobile and Vindigo City Guide, and distributes mobile games from tier-one publishers in the U.S. and Canada.
Scott joined Vindigo from Hands-On Mobile where he led business development efforts and established their global licensing group, which managed relationships with 25+ brand partners ranging from Activision to Viacom and World Poker Tour. Prior to his four years at Hands-On Mobile, Scott was president of NuvoStudios, a games developer which created award-winning mobile games for partners such as Disney, ESPN, Fox Sports, and Mattel.
He brings over 15 years of mobile, business development and legal experience and has structured deals for all channels of distribution, including online, retail, television, and telecommunications operator networks.

Mark Ollila

At Nokia, Mark is helping drive the next generation gaming strategy. He is responsible for technology strategy and business development, industry relations and industry marketing, partnerships and Nokia internal collaboration and technology roadmapping within Multimedia. Additionally, Mark is leading the Nokia games publishing effort at Multimedia. Previously, Mark co-founded Telcogames in 2003 and was an executive director focusing on licensing and strategic projects. He is a well-known entrepreneur and highly respected authority in media technology, frequently hosting lectures and publishing research on the sector. In addition to founding Telcogames, Mark has been involved in the setting up of a number of companies and research labs in media and mobile entertainment. He is on the Advisory Board of GDC Mobile, focusing on mobile graphics and multiplayer solutions and is a jury member for the International Mobile Game Awards. During 2002, he became the founding Chairman of Meqon AB, a physics middleware company delivering gaming solutions to the market. Mark brings to bear an unrivalled knowledge of Mobile Entertainment Business and Technology.

Kristian Segerstråle

Kristian is the CEO and co-founder of Playfish Ltd, a social games company. Prior to Playfish Kristian served as managing director of Europe of Glu Mobile, and was a co-founder of Glu Mobile Europe (Macrospace Ltd) in 2001. As managing director of Europe, Kristian was responsible for the rapid growth of Glu's European business, the integration of iFone Ltd in 2006 as well as being a contributor to the company's successful IPO in Q1 2007. During his six-year tenure at Glu, Kristian was a driving force in the creation of more than 40 mobile titles including chart topping WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? and multi-award winners such as the ANCIENT EMPIRES series. During his time at Glu Kristian was also responsible for forging relationships with key Glu brand partners including Konami, Celador, Codemasters and Cartoon Network. Kristian was voted one of top-50 most influential executives in Mobile Entertainment in December 2006 in ME Magazine. He holds an M.Sc. from London School of Economics and an M.A. (Cantab) in Economics from Cambridge University.

John Szeder

John is the cofounder of Mofactor, Inc. a new mobile games publisher that is integrating best-of-breed development practices with innovative product design and distribution methods. He started his engineering career at Research in Motion in 1995, developing software for what eventually became the Blackberry. John formed his own studio, Seismic Studios, in 2001, which is now part of Mofactor. During 2003, John was part of the launch team at Digital Chocolate, where he served as director of development. He has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Mike Yuen

Mike is senior director, BREW Gaming Group, for Qualcomm. He is responsible for defining and driving the BREW gaming experience as well as ensuring the platform is profitable and viable for game publishers and developers. Mike previously led BREW Developer Relations and helped create an ecosystem resulting in more than $1 billion being paid out to BREW content providers as of March 2007. He is a frequent speaker at gaming and wireless industry events and is an evangelist of cross platform game design, wireless digital distribution, and the converged computing and entertainment device for emerging markets. He previously held positions with Accolade, GTE Entertainment, Hammerhead Entertainment, AMD and NCR, and holds an M.B.A .from UC Davis and a B.A. in computer science from UCSD. Mike is on the advisory boards for GDC Mobile, LA Games Conference and Floodgate Entertainment, and previously served on the boards of the San Diego Software Industry Council and MEF America.
