The Game Developers Conference Indie Games Summit has a history of hosting insightful talks from a diverse array of innovative speakers, and today conference officials are happy to announce a few more notable IGS 2015 talks that you must not miss.

These talks are part of the GDC Indie Games Summit, one of eight that will take place Monday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 3rd at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA during the first two days of the conference.

Platforms like Kickstarter and Steam's Early Access service have revolutionized the way developers make games; thankfully, Hinterland Studios founder Raphael Van Lierop will be relating the lessons he learned about community-powered development in "There Be Monsters: Harnessing the Power of Community-Informed Development for The Long Dark."

Van Lierop will offer fellow developers advice on building community and developing their help (while still keeping your creative vision clear), as well as sharing some pros and cons of "community-informed" development based on his own experience crafting the acclaimed survival game The Long Dark.

Also, carve out some time in your schedule to see 11 Bit Studios' Pawel Miechowski discuss appropriate ways to portray war in a game from the perspective of citizens, rather than soldiers. In "This War Of Mine: Raising Emotions From Unique Narrative", Miechowski will explain how 11 Bit used gameplay mechanics, systems and symbols to evoke strong emotional responses from players of This War Of Mine -- a groundbreaking 11 Bit game inspired by the Siege of Sarajevo in the Bosnian War.

Full details on these and all other announced talks is available in the online GDC 2015 Session Scheduler, where you can begin to build your conference week and later export it to the up-to-the-minute GDC Mobile App, coming soon.

Also, conference officials look forward to announcing more GDC 2015 sessions spanning a diverse array of game industry issues in the months ahead.
