Where can I find my invoice, receipt and/or confirmation after registering?
After you register and pay, you will receive your invoice and/or receipt at the email address you used to register. If you printed an invoice and submitted it with your check payment, we will email you a confirmation and receipt once your registration is received and processed. If you registered as part of a group, your group organizer may have your receipt and confirmation. Email GDC Registration for assistance.
How do I register a group?
Groups of 5 or more attendees registering at the same time can save 10% on the current registration price for the Conference Pass. Additional registrations by the same group organizer at a later date can receive a 10% discount on the current registration price at the time of submission. What is the cancellation policy?
To cancel, change, or substitute your pass, please email GDC Registration.
Requests for registration refunds must be received before July 8, 2020. Refunds are not available after this date, and are not available for no-shows. Conference Passes are subject to a $75 service charge. Expo Passes are subject to a $25 service charge. Student Passes are subject to a $5 service charge. Passes transferred from GDC 2020 are not eligible for a refund or substitution.
Written requests for a downgraded pass must be received no later than July 8, 2020 for a full refund on the difference of registration fees between the value of the original and downgraded pass. Written requests for an upgraded pass will be accepted throughout the event. If you have any questions, please contact GDC Registration.
When/where will conference sessions, dates, and times be available?
Current GDC Summer conference sessions can be explored on the Session Viewer with new sessions and updates being added leading up to the event.
What speaking opportunities are available at GDC Summer?
The GDC Summer conference program is comprised of invited presentations only. Invited sessions are based on various factors as determined by the GDC Advisory Board and GDC organizers. To be considered for the GDC 2021 program, please be sure to signup for the GDC Call for Submissions announcement email.
What are the filming and recording guidelines?
Audio and/or video recording of conference sessions, including recording on mobile phone devices and screen recording software is allowed for the first five minutes only. Recording after the first five minutes is strictly prohibited.
What happened to the talks that would have been presented at Game Developers Conference 2020?
Thanks to submissions from many of the speakers who had talks planned for GDC 2020, we were able to successfully stream recorded versions of their GDC sessions on the official GDC Twitch channel on March 16-20. All the pre-recorded GDC 2020 videos
are now available to watch at your leisure on GDC Vault for free.
What happened to the 2020 IGF Awards & GDCA Ceremonies?
Virtual awards ceremonies for The Independent Games Festival (IGF) and Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA) and a virtualized 2020 edition of the Day of the Devs showcase were streamed on March 18 on the official GDC Twitch channel and can now be viewed on GDC Vault for free.
