Game Developers Conference 2014 organizers are highlighting a few more noteworthy Summit sessions for the upcoming March conference that are aimed at helping you better understand your player's needs, cater to their interests and draw them in as collaborators on your development process.
These talks are part of the QA Summit, the Free To Play Design & Business Summit, and the Smartphone & Tablet Games Summit, just three of the eight that will take place Monday, March 17 and Tuesday, March 18 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA during the first two days of GDC 2014.

New GDC 2014 Career Center offers fresh networking opportunities

We're roughly two weeks out from the 2014 Game Developers Conference, and today show organizers are highlighting the updated Career Center, a revamped version of the GDC Career Pavilion which offers brand new presentations and opportunities for face-to-face meetings to help new and seasons developers with their game industry career.
The Career Center will take place at a new location in Moscone's North Hall from the Wednesday to the Friday of GDC week, featuring exclusive career development sessions programmed by GDC and top vendors, expanded networking opportunities and the largest, most prestigious list of publisher and studio participation in the industry.

Game Developers Conference organizers are reminding everyone that Audience Award voting for both the 2014 Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCAs) and the Independent Games Festival (IGF) Main Competition Awards will close tomorrow, March 1, 2014 at 9PM ET.
These Audience Awards represent an opportunity for the gaming public to weigh in and cast a vote for their favorite nominee(s). Developers of the nominated games have taken the time to record their own personal reminders for fans to get out and vote, and we've taken the liberty of embedding those videos below.

GDC Play 2014 'Best in Play' award winners announced

Organizers of the 2014 Game Developers Conference have announced the eight winners of the Best in Play award program for exhibitors in the three-day GDC Play 2014 event, which allows emerging developers to show their games in a specially designed kiosk.
The winners, picked from more than 50 exhibitors participating in GDC Play, include the devilishly challenging retro space shooter Enemy Mind from Schell Games and Phantom Compass' pinball puzzle fantasy RPG Rollers of the Realm.
