GDC is excited to continue our partnership with leading childcare provider KiddieCorp to offer GDC attendees access to an on-site children's program.
The KiddieCorp team will engage your children with a program they want to attend, providing you with that critical peace of mind so you can attend your GDC sessions and events worry-free.
The children's program is for children ages 6 months through 12 years old and will be located within the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. The KiddieCorp team charges an affordable hourly rate of $12/hour for their services. Snacks and beverages will be provided, but meals need to be supplied by parents each day.
KiddieCorp team members are uniformed, qualified, screened, bonded and experienced employees who have completed the KiddieCorp training program. Our team member pool is racially/ethnically diverse, gender-mixed and age-diverse (we have youthful camp counselor types as well as "grandmother" types) for a wonderful balance. Our team members are able to comfort even the most hesitant children and help them enjoy their time with us.
All KiddieCorp team members are carefully reviewed and screened to make sure they meet KiddieCorp's high standard requirements for employment. Our application process includes behavioral screening questions and a specially designed set of reference questions just for temporary child care providers. Once a candidate has passed this initial screening, they still have to attend an interview and training orientation. This is a highly interactive meeting where their skills and personality are put to the test. After the initial training, our new team members also receive mentoring, on the job training, and an employee manual to ensure that they do everything "The KiddieCorp Way". This intensive screening and training process ensures that our clients receive the highest quality care and consistency in staffing from year to year and across the nation.
