Diversity and Inclusion

The Game Developers Conference is a community committed to sharing values of diversity and inclusion. We firmly believe that creating an inclusive space that supports all individuals is critical to fostering a culture of open-mindedness and compassion.

Code of Conduct

As stated in the Code of Conduct, GDC expects attendees to be considerate and respectful. Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated whether by other attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, or exhibitors.

Scholarships

GDC is proud to partner with a variety of organizations through which qualified candidates can apply to receive a complimentary GDC Conference+Summits pass. Learn more about partner organizations, each with their own scholarship program guidelines and apply to participate in the GDC Scholarship Program.

Childcare

While no one under the age of 18 (including infants in strollers) is allowed to attend the program, the Game Developers Conference is excited to be able to provide on-site child care services. Please visit the KiddieCorp website for more information and to register for child care services at GDC.

Pronoun Tags

GDC supports the flourishing diversity in our community, and do our best to create a space to reflect that. As such, when arriving to pick up event badges for GDC attendees will also be given the option to pick up pronoun tags as well.

Gender Neutral Bathrooms

Gender neutral bathrooms are available during the conference, and their locations will be marked for attendees.

Low Income Pass Lottery

By entering the Low Income Pass Lottery you have the opportunity to win a complimentary Expo Pass to GDC 2018. These passes are intended for participants who would otherwise not be able to attend without considerable financial assistance.

Amplify New Voices

Held in conjunction with GDC, the amplify new voices program provides a full day of hands-on training where participants work closely with mentors while learning more about PR and enhancing their public speaking and presentation skills. They will be introduced to likeminded members of a community that inspires to boost new voices to change the face of games, VR & AR industries.
