Frostbite editor scripting for DA: Inquisition explained at GDC

The Frostbite engine is a multi-talented piece of tech, and it drives everything from Dragon Age: Inquisition to Need for Speed and Battlefield 4.
Electronic Arts' technical art director Matthew Doell is intimately familiar with Frostbite, and at GDC 2015 he'll explain how scripting in the Frostbite Editor works in a Programming talk titled "Frostbite: Implementing a Scripting Solution for Your Editor."

Doell thinks Frostbite's editor scripting solution is a good example of how developers can build scripting extensions for quickly creating custom tools for each project and easily share new tools between teams, so expect to see lots of examples of how EA developers took the tools and made them their own.
Check out his talk, and you'll walk away with a much better understanding of how to design and implement scripting as a feature by studying how the Frostbite editor's scripting solution was implemented and maintained over multiple versions of the engine.
