The Game Developers Conference is proud to debut its new GDC Travel Together program, helping GDC 2024 attendees easily navigate their way to the Moscone Convention Center and providing the opportunity to meet attendees and "travel together."
The Game Developers Conference has partnered with its network of hotels to establish a series of meeting hubs for GDC attendees. Simply use this map to find your “HQ Hotel,” most located within a few blocks of lodgings of each zone, where you'll find a designated meeting spot inside. There, you'll be provided with easy suggested walking directions to Moscone (via QR code)—by a GDC 2024 Conference Associate or a member of the hotel staff after CA hours.
Here's when you can find Conference Associates at GDC's HQ Hotels:
- Monday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
- Tuesday: 9:00am - 1:00pm
- Wednesday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am - 12:00pm
- Friday: 9:00 - 11:00am

GDC Travel Together HQ Hotels also serve as meet-up spots for those who prefer to travel in groups. You're welcome to arrange group travel with colleagues or friends, or meet new GDC 2024 attendees to commute to Moscone Center with. We will be hosting a GDC Travel Together Group Meet-Up at Yerba Buena Gardens on Sunday, March 17 from 4:00-6:00pm, to help folks meet and network with potential commute companions. GDC Conference Associates and hotel staff will be happy to help if you have any questions or concerns.
In addition, the Union Square Alliance provides walking escorts for GDC attendees staying near the convention center (coverage area is Moscone Center to Union Square). You can call member services at 415-781-4456 to request a walking escort. Please allow 30 minutes.
For those wanting further help making their way around San Francisco, keep an eye out for the city’s official Welcome Ambassadors—in their signature bright orange jackets, with the words “Welcome Ambassador” written on the back. These ambassadors can help with directions, transit questions, and safety concerns. You can find them at the Moscone Center, along with downtown BART stations, transit hubs, and key tourist locations.
