To advance our understanding of the state of the European game industry ahead of GDC Europe 2015, conference organizers are polling all European game developers about their roles in game development and their thoughts on where the industry is headed in the year to come.
The brief survey is live now, and officials will keep it open through June 19th in order to record important data on the work of European developers and their thoughts on vital issues facing the game industry.
This year the survey spans everything from the platforms respondents are working on -- now and in the future -- and what markets they work in to their thoughts on tax incentives and rating systems.
Valuable learnings from that data will in turn be shared with the industry at large; last year's GDC Europe State of the Industry survey< documented the opinions of over 300 European developers in advance of GDC Europe 2014.
The results of that survey provided useful insights into the state of the European game industry, among them the understanding that Sweden had risen to be perceived as Europe's #1 development hub as the practice of crowdfunding game projects gained traction in the region.
This year, conference organizers will once again randomly select one survey respondent to receive a free All-Access Pass to GDC Europe 2016. The winner will be contacted via the email address entered at the end of the survey.
The results of the survey will also be published before the start of this year's conference. Organized by UBM Tech Game Network, GDC Europe, now in its seventh year in Germany, will be held Monday and Tuesday, August 3rd and 4th at the Congress-Centrum Ost in Cologne, Germany, and will once again be co-located with Europe's biggest video game trade and public show gamescom.
