PSA: 2 days left to submit talks for the GDC 2016 Summits & VRDC!

Prospective GDC 2016 speakers, take note: Conference organizers would like to remind you that the call for submissions to present talks, roundtables, and panel sessions for the Game Developers Conference 2016 Summits and the debut Virtual Reality Developers Conference closes in just two days!

This Friday, October 2nd at 11:59 PM Pacific, to be specific. If you have a talk you think would be a good fit for the GDC Summits or VRDC, that's your deadline to pitch it!

Remember that the all-new VRDC and the GDC Summits both take place on the first two days of GDC 2016, signaling the start of the five-day conference.

You can find more information on the VRDC and how to submit your talks on the official VRDC websiteProgramming for the conference, spearheaded by two parallel industry Advisory Boards, will include valuable content for the rapidly-growing community of VR game developers, storytellers, and creators looking to harness the uncharted potential of VR technology for 3D games, CG movies, actual filmed experiences and beyond.

You can submit your pitches for Summit talks until Friday as well, with each Summit having dedicated industry Advisory Board members to evaluate your talks. This year's GDC Summits include the return of multiple popular Summits and the expansion of the new eSports Summit to two full days. The full GDC Summit line-up for 2016 is as follows:

  • Game Narrative Summit
  • GDC Education Summit
  • Independent Games Summit
  • eSports Summit
  • Community Management Summit
  • Smartphone & Tablet Games Summit

The GDC Summits and VRDC will take place on the first two days of GDC, March 14th and 15th, signaling the start of the five-day conference.

In addition, the perennially popular Game Career Seminar is also accepting submissions until this Friday, and will take place on Friday, March 18th, to close out GDC 2016.
